I think it's out someday around March 9th.

Not much AFX-y-like tracks on there by the way. It's more like an epic electro funk bladerunner sci-fi movie. If you remember good old Jedi Knights, that's where it's heading to, sort of. Add some oldschool raps, and you are nearly there. I love the album. Hope, the vinyl version is out soon as well.

Warp30 anyone? A 4-hour selection.

Amon Tobin megamix sonic gravity pull in 3, 2, 1...

FSOL turns 26 megamix. Auauauaaaaaaaaaaaauaua

Boards Of Canada are soooo lush. Shhhhhhhhhhh hhuuuuhuuuu haaaaa!

Best of Jega BaBooooooom!

Mh I find it kind of hard to get into this. I like the voice but it is also distracting me. Wished for more bangers. Have to get back.

I find this really weak compared to Triaquon 6 or Temporay Thrillz. It's entertaining and and trippy, but I miss the complex atmospheres and harsh rhythms. am i the only one feeling like this?

nope, I share the same opinion. I really like the story line but the lyrics just ruined it for me in some places.

I agree that it's somewhat disappointing, it doesn't quite deliver what the EP's promised. I like the playfulness and the goofiness, but "complex atmospheres and harsh rhythms" are missing, like tokn says.

On the other hand it is rock solid in itself, and it has a few good surprises.

I never read the hype about this album, so I guess that helped in avoiding disappointment.. imo this is a lot of fun, and really memorable (esp in comparison to Pathway to Tiraquon 6, which I also liked).

It does make sense that the vocals (as well as the guitar riffs) would put electronic/idm fans off though. I love them and I hope SDC keeps up this style - "The Love Quadrant" appears relatively unchanged here from how it appeared in 2009, vocals and all, so it seems like SDC has had this style in mind since the beginning. It's a pretty fantastic world he's got in his head and I'm down to keep paying to hear the story unfold. The vocals do a good job conjuring up old 80's electro-funk goofiness... even the pained coolness of Mr 8040's voice reminds me of Egyptian Lover or some other time-travelling electro MC.

the vocals can be a little over the top, but the real problem is that the album is boring. hard to say why, but it feels heavy-handed in a way. the story may be lighthearted and playful, but it doesn't come across in the music, whereas those qualities are palpable on the eps despite the minimal exposition. seems that way to me, at least

This is a fun, unique, great album. Applause for taking the risk to do something he wanted to do and adding the skits and everything. It makes it a less accessible album because like some people in here have pointed out it's distracting, but I for one really enjoy this every bit as much as Pathway to Tiraquon 6 & Temporary Thrillz. Also quite like the EP for the title track.. "Music for spaceports" would've been exactly the kind of shit I would've wanted to see had Space Stations ever won the IDM competition.

My green vinyl of this album just arrived. It's green. I'm awesome.
