Well, yeah, but she has those electronic-eye augmentations so I tend to put her in the semi-cyborg box.

Also, her accent is Australian. I generally dislike every Australian so I was instantly sceptical about her motivations and can envisage her being a problem in the climactic moments when that AI is blatantly going to disobey orders and starting doing shit by itself.

It's fucking perfect. ME2 is staggeringly huge. I can't fathom how they've fit so much content onto two discs, really. But it ticks all the boxes of what I would want to be the perfect sci-fi game.

lol 2 discs. buy a ps3 already.

I decided not to buy anything from EA games a long time ago, and you should too

And by the way, I stopped playing this game at the moment when some guy asked me to have gaysex with him, and the negative answer was marked as negative/renegade

Traditionally, the Poo has been delivered on its little red pillow. But this year, we'll give EA three different color options for its pillow, though in the end it's still the same old Poo.

The funny thing about EA is that they just get worse and worse no matter how much criticism they get. It's clear that they don't give a fuck what their customers thinks about them, can't think of any other company that uses that kind strategy. They are even worse than Activision at this point. That Golden Poo is fully deserved.

But still.. Mass Effect isn't a game that should be skipped if you ask me. It's simply too good for that.

if anything, ea won. most of the disgruntled fans will think "bioware actually listens to the fans! yay!" and continue to buy ea and bioware's half-assed games. ea/bioware don't care about making amazing games (or "art") and wrapping up the story in a proper way. they care about their bottom line. me3 has been going on sale in numerous places (i believe it was $35 on amazon recently--within a month of its release), so sales have obviously been affected by this controversy. that's the only reason they're making an "extended cut." they didn't listen to the "loud-mouthed babies," as you so condescendingly put it. they listened to their profit margin.

i don't know why so many gamers and journalists are defending such a shitty company. it's pathetic.

The day-one DLC/online pass and all those stupid initiatives EA has taken is definitely worth complaining about.

But so what if they wan't to sell more copies of their game. You know they are supposed to make money somehow out of this, right? I understand if you're not satified with EA (I'm not either), but you can't hardly blame them for wanting to make money of their games by selling more copies. And If they are going to do that by releasing free DLC, then I don't see the problem.

And ME3 isn't a half-assed game. It's clear Bioware has put much effort into this franchaise, and this game. It has been a big achievement in gaming, they have been succesful on a lot of areas that most developers haven't even been able to touch yet.

And just because the last 15 mins maybe was dissapointing to some, is not going to change the many hours of quality gaming this franchaise has offered.

They should have made 3 completely different endings instead of just changing the colors in them. But it would probably have taken alot of development time and resources, then they probably would have to sacrifice other aspects of the game, which I'm glad they didn't. And they probably also knew not all of their players would not see all the endings, which probably didn't make it worth all the work. It's not a very good excuse for them. But I can understand why they didn't do it. And maybe it's just me that don't care so much about multiple endings. It's nice when games have them, but it's not going to ruin the whole experience if it's not a feaure. I just like to have the ending, the developers that has created the universe has envisioned.

And how many Sceince Fiction works can you even think of that has completely satisfying and perfect endings? It's not something that's very common in the genre or in video games in general.

And it annoys me that it's always the most complaining ones that gets heard. They tend be the minirioty, but they are always the loudest ones. And all complaining about the ending has overshadowed all talk about the rest of the game. Which is stupid, because it's such a great game. The whole controversy surrounding it has been blow out of proportions.

This post got way too long. Hopefully I made some kind of sense.

Edit: Woops I misread your post, you do agree on the DLC stuff.

Imo it's good that the complaints are loud and sales are suffering. You're not going to tell me that if they'd offer this product for €50 with all content included it wouldn't make a profit. You're not going to tell me their best-selling games wouldn't make a profit if they dropped their online pass crap. They are fucking over loyal customers by making them pay a premium for every product they release. It's not just EA doing this. I bought Dirt 2 a while ago and was disgusted to see tons of cars and shit locked away as DLC, dangling before my eyes every time I picked a car. It made me quit the game and I haven't launched it since. DLC strategies have ruined a lot of games in my opinion.

That's not how to gain customers. If you remove money from the equation and just look at the released product, you're still better off getting your singleplayer EA or Ubisoft titles on a torrent site than buying it from them. No wonder big publishers hate the PC platform.

And it can be done different. The Witcher 2. Premium AAA title, very high budget, not nearly as much sales as an EA product. No DRM. A year after release we're still getting a large update with loads of tweaks and new content. All for free. Portal 2, free multiplayer DLC months after release...

Yes. I do agree on the DLC stuff. And companies has just gotten worse with it lately. There's games (Tekken x Street Fighter for example) that's being released with content on the disc that you have to pay for to unlock. That just makes me sick. And I'm not protecting EA at all. I can't stand them either. I'm just saying I don't think Bioware did such a horrible job with ME3 as some people make it.

the ending isn't the only thing that was half-assed though. there were hardly any side missions. gathering war assets was reduced to planet scanning. that's actually what pissed me off the most. planet scanning is a terrible excuse for gameplay, imo. me2 had way more side missions. it had four hub worlds--me3 only had one. i guess that makes sense, as the citadel would be the only place untouched by reapers, but the citadel was so tiny compared to the other two games :/

also, there were a couple of plotholes.

you have a point but it only goes so far. Please keep in mind that the Witcher 2 was made in Poland and the 3D content was all created for eastern european wages. Truth is, the profit margin on AAA games, unless you're Battlefield, CoD, Uncharted, or what have you, is quite dangerously small. So while there are plenty of success stories, there are plenty of solid games that sink without a trace - the new Resistance game, Enslaved, etc. There are very few "miracles" in game production. When you see a game with tons of content without a huge marketing budget behind it, chances are the content was outsourced, "taking jarbs" away from the west to Eastern Europe or Asia. And yes, even EA outsources a ton even though they don't really need to, to pad their profit margins, so nobody's hands are clean...

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Awesome game.

I chose this ending as well and was pretty happy with it. Then again I haven't played ME1 or 2. Gonna fix that now.

If anyone is nerdy enough (like me ). I think this video is really worth watching. It's a theory about how ME3 really ended.

Nice theory, or then it's just Bioware not knowing how to write a good ending.
