I love my cat

Usually the gf gets up a little earlier than me and I stay in bed while she's doing bathroom stuff; I remain half asleep until she's done (since there's only one bathroom there isn't much point in fighting her over it). When I wake up I typically find the cat's face nestled under my neck or arm or something; I never quite know when he shows up except that he probably wasn't there 3 hours before wake up.

Today I had to get up earlier than normal, so when the alarm went off I climbed out of bed. The cat heard the alarm and came running into the bedroom from the living room, and hopped on the bed. He looked around and saw me standing in the corner. He had the most over the top sad expression and he glowered at me and meowed for a little bit (he almost never meows) until I got back into bed and hugged him for a minute or two. The purring was so fucking loud.

I guess I disrupted his morning snuggle routine.

Oh my god. Cats.

I lured this stray to me the other day and now she's always hanging out around the house.

When she's especially cozy she'll start suckling herself.

lol...

we have a cat flap and we have mice. so i was hanging with this little black cat/kitten that came in last night, making her feel welcome... partly because she's a cute cat but also in the hope that she'd catch some mice. lots of head-butting and purring occurred. after spending the night downstairs, it seemed a mouse had come upstairs, into my room, to avoid being chased. the cat came in my room too, and we did some mouse hunting. basically the mouse hid under a bag, i removed the bag and the cat was able to pounce. she walking around with the mouse in her mouth for a while and then dropped it. we couldn't find it after that. so i don't if it's dead or dying. cats should actually kill and eat mice rather than just wounding them.

man I want to have a cat again.. grew up with em.... had a cat for a short while that came with the farmhouse I lived in for a shortwhile, when I came there she was starving, but when I left she was well fed indeed. never came in the house, only the kitchen to eat sometimes.. on the last day when I was moving out she rushed into my room, which never happened and started looking around inquisitively like she knew what was going on. cat's know man.

last pic was the cat that found me at my new place, almost exactly the same cat only much younger :)

if she was a littl'un she was probably lernin'

Yes. I used to have a cat that would bring them into the house to play with until they died when she was first learning. I didn't want them to get loose in the house so I would use a heavy spoon and thump them in the back of the neck at the base of the skull and kill them. She was always mad about it too. Later she became a prolific hunter and wiped out loads of small animals from around the area. I'd find squirrel tails and rabbit heads waiting for me on the porch. She was a great killer. One of my favorite cats ever. She brought a humming bird in one and when I made sad nose she opened her mouth and it flew out the front door... So amazing to me to catch something that fast!

i had a cat who was a good hunter but she'd still just wound mice, so she could play with them as they slowly died from infection... but they'd invariably run behind something, etc. so that's what i meant by that but yeah, maybe this ones still just learning.

(she was about to kill a pheasant once and i impulsively stopped her but actually, it was obviously a gamebird, so my cat might as well have had it)
