Remixes of Alberto Balsam by AFX &, Nlogax by BoC

From Boomkat website:

Finally in, two very cheeky but very charming mashups pitching AFX and BoC against dubbed-out Afrobeat rhythms. A-side is the eternal classic 'Alberto Balsam' sparingly rubbed with shuffling drums, chants and sax. Rinse and repeat! B-side is BoC's 'Nlogax' enhanced with Afro-Boogie vocals and breakdown.

Wondering that boomkat sell this. Seems indeed to be an cash-in on acts who released no album in a run of years so far. Sounds not very complicated to create these "charming" mash-ups. Just a bit know how of pitching and rhythm needed.

Too sad for the misused wax.

The full version's up here, in all it's awful glory...

'I am recovering from a terrible accident here at Shoes headquarters...'

I'm guessing some type of brain injury, that's left him with the tragic inability to discern pitch or syncopation.

Sorry but what the fuck was that? Wasn't a remix in any way. UGGGGGH

Hope they don't sell out too fast. Maybe they would take this a sign to make a Rephlex Afrobeat Project for the cashed in money and spread it over 2 12inches this time.

Btw.: the label seems to have problems with releasing "official" records. Their discogs labelpage is not bursting from "legale" releases so far.

this is clearly inspired by a recent 12" where relatively popular producers remixed shangaan electro, i forget the details but it was much better.

edit: ah here we go :http://www.factmag.c...estus-and-more/

ernestus (basic channel), peverelist, villalobos, and some guy.
