What's the Kinggoblin like?

it was nice, very heady with deep smoky caramel flavours...wouldn't want to drink too many of them though.

I just managed to pick up two bottles of Boulevard's Chocolate Ale. Last year was the first time they brewed this beer and it sold out within a couple weeks. When I picked up my second bottle this afternoon the clerk was telling me that places in the center of town were already sold out. I got on the waiting list at one store and had a friend that manages another store set the other back for me!

Hey mang

If y'all are ever in Memphis, and you're into ridiculously smooth awesome-tasting awesomeness, you've got to pick up some Ghost River, locally brewed with our natural aquifer-sourced Jesus water....not very "wintery" but damn does it make a difference that the distance between brewery and store shelf is a couple miles....my current fab

For winter, try New Belgium Snow Day...solid dark and not-so-dark lager with a nice hop

Massachustts' beer distribution is like a continuous onslaught of tasty brews. But some locals like Pretty Things are consistently delicious. Our Finest Regards, their English Barleywine is wintery prefection.

I fucking love Krieks :w00t:

edit: BTW the Chocolate Ale was awesome. Not what I was expecting. Light chocolate on the nose after it warmed a bit. It wasn't sweet, just a light ale up front but then after you swallowed the chocolate kind of coated your tongue with a nice hint of cocoa. Really tasty and the overall experience only got better as it warmed.

absolutely delicious! cherry beer - what's not to like? bacchus kriek's not too sweet or sickly - got a deep cherry flavour, but is nice and kind of tangy and dry so the cherry taste doesn't get overwhelming half way through the bottle. definitely worth checking out if you can get hold of some and you've not tried it before! quite pricey though - i paid £2.79 per bottle for this lot...

ah isn't that a quebec brewery.. who make maudite, fin du monde, etc...

how is it?

Yeah, that's Unibroue.

I think this one from them is a good winter ale

Has a bit of warming sweetness to it but not cloying. Sort of figgy. Nicely carbonated for a Belgian strong dark ale. Probably my favorite Unibroue.
