I once fought a nightclub bouncer, he punched me so hard i woke up in the 1950's wearing a dress and cooking dinner for a family that didn't appreciate me.

Oh and someone mentioned boxing - not so many great fighters at the moment, like there are some good fighters, but no real show stoppers.

So - probably pound for pound the best boxer ever: Roy Jones jr.

My favorite boxer (and coincidentally, the only boxer I know) is Cecilia Brækhus

I want to date a female boxer just to test the old cliche that if you want into a biker's bar and call everyone a faggot she will fight them all and win.

So is/was Manny Pacquiao on steroids? That's all I really want to know...the shape of his head says yes to me, but what do I know....

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

You're high dude. Yeah he should have quite after he won the heavyweight. the drop back down to fight Tarver killed him. He lost so much weight for that. But when he was in prime? Nuh uh. He was on top of the world. Should have won the gold (so embarrasing for South Korea - you talk to any legit Korean boxer they hang their heads in shame over that one). Went from light middleweight to heavyweight, won titles all the way up. He had so much speed that he could fight how he chose.

Pac-man comes in a real close second - and if he fights Mayweather soon (gotta be soon or they're not in their prime any more) he could possibly take it. But Jones had it all, plus he had the swagger. But he backed that shit up....

Lumpy - I don't think pac-man is juicing, and i really want to see Pacquiao-Mayweather. It would be a fucking great fight.

What is it about us men and physical fights? its like we can smell the pheromones and go crazy. Its nice to know we still have primitive instics just in case the shit goes down and we have to fight lions to survive.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

Lol Roy Jones' facial expressions are just like a black Brad Pitt

I was a huge Jones fan early in his career. I think he had as much potential as any boxer ever... however he never fought anyone of consequence, and he was a bit of a pussy. Sugar Ray Robinson would have crushed him.

Julio Ceasar Chavez was a great pound for pound fighter, one of the most dominating fighters in recent years.

this list has Jones at 40 on all time pound for pound fighters, I'd say that's a fair assessment

a cool list check- out the subject of a few of my paintings #10 Sam Langford, who fought as a lightweight, all the way up to heavyweight, went toe to toe with Jack Johnson.

Never fought anyone of any consequence?

Vinny Paz - world champion in lightweight/light middleweight. Jones crushed him.

James Toney - middleweight champion, super middleweight, cruiserweight champion. Jones took him apart in his very first fight at super middleweight, and this was when Toney was at his prime.

Bernard Hopkins - takes the championship from him on his first title shot, with a broken right hand.

Mike McCallum, Felix Trinidad - both on your list.

And his win over Eric Lucas? Where he played a professional basketball game in the morning, then defended his title in the evening? sheeeeeeeeeeeit.

And he's still the only boxer in history to go from light middleweight to heavyweight and titles all the way up (actually he never won a title at light middleweight, but he started there).

Yo sugar ray robinson definitely great great great, - but his record is inflated (he fought a whole bunch of cans). and he only won at two weight divisions.

ps. just in case anyone is confused - these kinds of discussions happen all the time, never get resolved and everyone drinks beer.

pps. Langford was great - shame he never got any shots - he was probably too good. One of the most ducked fighters of all time for sure.

Julio cesar Chavez is a much better fighter than Roy Jones Jr. as is Ray Leonard, there are many more, sorry I think Roy Jones was soft.

*orders another drink*

BTW i hate Ray Leonard.

The only boxing experience I have was when there was a tournament when i was in the Navy and I entered it. They put me in my weight division and I joined the training regimen they had. During the first round of the competition. I was fighting this one dude who was pretty showboat like and mimicked Mohamed Ali. I TKOed him in the second round. Next up I was matched up with a dude that was smaller and skinnier than I and I got a little overconfident when I went into the match. He knocked me out in the 3rd round and he went on to win in that weight class.

I haven't really watched boxing much in like the past 10 years or so. My favorites back in the day were Ray Mancini, Thomas Hearns, Mike Tyson (before he downspiraled), Marvin Hagler, Mohamed Ali goes without saying.

I was never into UFC much.

JCC wouldn't be able to touch Roy Jones. In Jones' sixth round against Vinny Paz (a guy who beat Duran twice on decision), Paz never landed a punch. That's how fast Jones was. Hopkins thinks Jones is faster than Mayweather!

Ask Virgil Hill if he thinks Roy Jones is soft.

*drinks coffee meekly*

If MIke Tyson had kept his mind - he could have been one of the greats.

don't make me bring up the Foreman-Tyson fantasy fight again.

i usually enjoy Thomas Hearns (my fave boxer), Roberto Duran, Hagler, Frazier, Ali, Chavez (he is definitely up there in PvP all time greats), Whitaker, B-Hop....man so many others.

I gotta give it up to Holyfield too...not necessarily an all time great but goddamn that man has a ridiculous amount of stamina.
