I was a warrior Poet in the Kitchen Tonight

Recommended Posts

I made Valentine's Dinner for my wife and daughter tonight.

Steamed Butternut Squash Puree, Panko Fried Oysters with Avocado, Lime, and Sea Salt, and Pan-Seared Scallops over Rainbow Quinoa with Fresno Peppers, Bacon, and Fried Brussels Sprouts Leaves

Fact: It took me longer to type the title of this meal than it did my two Valentines to eat it. I have to say I enjoyed making a meal for both my girls, especially the baby who had no qualms about literally screaming in my face for more. I reckon it's the most sincere way to compliment a cook, and probably not too far of a cry from how professional kitchen dwellers operate.

To start, I picked the nicest butternut squash I could find

Dismantled it while I got some water boiling

Let it steam for about 10 mins

Blended it up in front of an audience. It's no surprise the baby is a fan of loud noise.

After several servings she succumbs to food coma, pajamas, and lullabyes while I work on the rest of the meal for my other Valentine. I fry some bacon in case I might need it, and get some diced shallots, garlic, and fresno peppers going for the quinoa.

Next I fry a few oysters breaded with panko to keep the hungries at bay.

Serve with avocado, plenty of lime, and coarse sea salt.

Then I deleave some brussels sprouts and fry them in my leftover oyster fryin' oil.

The quinoa has been simmering with the peppers, onions, bacon, and chicken stock

Get a nice face-melting sear on those scallops

Finally, serve over the quinoa with a handful of fried brussels sprouts leaves and a healthy amount of lemon juice.

And now here I am on watmm. Successful night huh. I think I fried too many things. Either way both Valentines are sleeping right now while I'm wide awake.

It's like a grain, kinda like couscous, little tiny nodules that are great with citrusy flavors and seem to kind of burst when you chew them

China is blocking pictures of your hedonistic capitalist repast...take that, quinoa

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

I think that's the first pic of your daughter I've seen, she is adorable. it seems like you had a wonderful and romantic valentines day. I got a last second card, brought home Mexican, downed a bottle of wine, high fived my son a few times, farted and fell asleep on the couch real early.

We made wings three ways -- coconut/cilantro/lime, honey mustard hot sauce, and korean -- along with some broiled leeks. I came. (And then we made dinner ... oh-HO!!)
