Can't, I live in a shithole. I've seen exactly 3 electronic acts this year, and that was accomplished by traveling 300 km and sleeping over for 3 days. They were Hercules & Love Affair, Pantha du Prince and Aphex Twin. I wasn't able to pick up any moves due to how packed they were. And the last time that there was any sort of EDM night where I live I seemed to be the only one dancing.

edit: You could post a video of yourself dancing to this thread? I can start it off if people are afraid to.

Sorry to hear that, living in London it is easy for me to forget how fortunate I am in that sense. I guess it all depends on how much significance you attribute to the dancing aspect. Personally, it means very little to me.

Dont get me wrong, I can cut a rug when the moment takes me, but in a 'club' environment I can be just as happy just finding a sweet spot for balanced sound, and enjoying the music. If you persevere and find ways to see more music like this, it will start to make sense. Sometimes crowds can be downright grumpy and do not really engage with the music in a physical sense, and other times it can be an incredible immersive experience where the whole place is locked in for ten hours of straight dancing. But like I said its more about how much significance you attribute to the actual dancing thing.

And as for 'how' to dance. Well thats totally up to the individual. As long as you dont bump into me too much you can do what ever you like.

That's pretty interesting to read. I can see that my curiosity can come off as a sort of put-on ignorance. If you've seen little britain just think of me as the "only gay in the village" guy but with regards to dance music instead - basically I'm a fan of something that I don't actually know much about.

yeah i know watmm largely isnt so techno orientated, but the odd people on here still have phenomonal taste, and it makes me dribble cum out my bum. the production in good, modern techno is far more impressively bassy and perfect than any other type of electronic music, and old school techno is tuneful, awesome, and predates almost all other electronic dance musics.
