If reality is just a product of electrical impulses transmitting and firing via nerves and synapses what exactly is our consciousness derived from? Whose's to say the abstractness that is our consciousnesses doesn't remain in some abstract place?

have you ever blacked out or slept without dreaming?

it'll probably be like that. forever. not that forever means anything to a dead person...

well even Einstein said that energy (in any form) cannot be killed or destroyed.

so......... i'd like to think our energy, whatever that may be, goes, or at least does something,

that us monkeys are not yet aware of, after body death.

but continuous life after death as yourself in some weird way, even in a parallel dimension, i am completely sceptical of.

Also consider that earth is not a closed system really, it shares energy (particles pass through it all the time) with it's surroundings in space.

this thread will likely not die for another 6 pages

given the advanced stats course I'm taking right now, if I had a little more data I could compute the probability of it going 6 more pages, or even calculate an interval / margin of error.

Or I could just agree with you based off no data since.. you're right.

electrical charge is simply passed on to something else.. ? Electricity doesn't just fizzle out.

Guest moonchild

look, i have sat with a lot of people as they are dying, i can't promise you anything but i will say that i don't believe it is nothingness or that you will be alone after. i know i am not explaining well but i have been in that moment many times and i never feel that the person who is dying just disappears. sometimes they were afraid and i did my best to soothe them, sometimes they were sad and i did my best to comfort them, mostly though they put off a sense of relief and i simply held their hands...

trust me when I saw ice water mighta thought somebody was watching but nah... sometimes i'm alone sometimes I'm not. who cares.

i have it on good authority that the afterlife is just like minecraft, but with the height limit removed

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

show me...... exactly how it happens.....

you can't. nobody can! and i love that. i guess that's where faith comes in? however religious, or, indeed scientific.

nobody can say for a fact what happens to our energy (or soul?) after death.

you become deprived of oxygen somehow. your neurons die. this means that the ion channels in your brain (or rather, located in the membranes on the neuron) cease to function, which means no electrical activity. fizzle fizzle.

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.
