Good gravy. $30 bucks to see Squarepusher and FaltyDL? Sometimes I wish I didn't live in the middle of nowhere where all the shows are, like, Big Jim From Down by The Swamp & His Nickelback Cover Band

damn Alfred & Acid you guys were there too? we need better coordination skillz. anyway yes it ruled. Crypty, the Nickelback songs were the best part. if the album is half as good as the show I'll be a little clam, enjoying myself.

edit: and yes I paid $6 for a cranberry & ginger ale. nyc 4 eva

It was fantastic, SP's set was pretty short IMO but other than that 10/10 (Falty DL was great too, lol at dropping Donkey Rubharb in the middle of his set). Had two cups of beer for 12 dollars + 6 dollars tips because I tought the girl serving was cute, lol.

Did anyone noticed SP was eating trough out the whole thing? I think he was overdosing on LSD.

(will post some pictures later , I didn't bother taking video because I was enjoying myself too much and I didn't just want to waste my time there recording videos)

would just add that he was pretty gestural w/ the audience throughout; the led visor is capable of getting very bright and it's hard to capture the sight of it live up close on a moving body. it almost looked like he was going to combust a few times

The intro to the track around 5 mins in sounds a lot like Karsten Pflum's Dansk Notebook Center

It was a very cool show, caught up with A/D and his friend which was great!

Musically it's like a more aggressive Hello Everything, lots of melodic parts but with a sound palette more similar to stuff on Ed Banger. Definitely not brostep though.

Visually it was just fucking stunning, the videos (although much appreciated) can't capture how crazy that helmet looked, looked like his face was being consumed by pure energy like some sort of anime at times. The screen behind it was ginormous and the bass was cranked so it was all around a great show.

Oh yes, and FaltyDl played a really good opening set as well, nice hearing some Aphex, Burial, and Vibert in there.
