seth rogen said at the oscars that people like chris brown wouldn't be let within 100 yards of the oscars, conveniently ignoring the fact that sean penn (who beat his wife so badly he was charged with a felony) was in the audience and that roman polanski (raped a thirteen year old, twice.) has won awards from them.

it's just such a racist double standard

Good point, although Polanski's crimes occurred back in the 70's, when "everything was permitted." And I think Penn would have been boycotted if Robin Wright Penn's bruised and battered face had been splashed all over the media (if indeed it was her and not some other wife...why oh why didn't Penn batter Madonna?)
