my first radio show

A couple of weeks ago I had an appointment with the director of the local community radio station here in Widnes & Runcorn, and they have given me my own 2 hour slot to play music, so I present...

AS YET UNNAMED SHOW BY ANDREW BATES

The first show will be me finding my feet, but I'll be playing music I love in this first one. I'll be playing a couple of WATMMer's music too, and as long as the station carries on existing (it's up in the air at the moment) I'll be continuing to showcase music by WATMMers on there, as well as playing other stuff.

It'd be cool if some of you guys and gals have a listen!

First show is Thursday 29th March (that's next Thursday) between 10pm-12pm midnight British Summer Time

here is the web stream page with WMP and Quicktime streamers, but if you don't want to use those and you want to stream with VLC or WinAmp or Foobar here is the direct stream URL for use with whatever software you like.

Sirch - actually this particular show there won't be any Autechre or even any VHS Head this time around. I didn't want to be so obvious :p

I dunno, maybe. Depends though, there's broadcasting guidelines that I have to adhere to. One of those being no swearing in tracks. They've said I can edit them out, but I'm against censorship in this way, so I'd rather just not play the tracks.

This is why I'm considering doing a live podcast at some point when I can get the equipment...
