somebody big in the IDM/electronica world, like Autechre, should just do a cassette tape only release for their next album, and force everyone to have to go buy a tape deck! or an old 90's Walkman. :)

i am hoping he meant, he'd rather pay for a physical item if given the option. like the options here were, download and tape, or just download, so you got the download either way. he would rather have the physical and the download. at least i hope that is what he meant

 

anyway i wish labels gave this option with all vinyl releases, for example REPHLEX.

Sure, I buy digital only releases sometimes, but if I have the choice I always want something physical too, like a cd, some wax or a tape

drexciya, with a little bit of early 90s era IDM mixed in for good measure, think B12 finds amber and covers it.

I got this on the strength of the Cygnus track on the ICASEA compilation, and it definitely does not disappoint! I really like the clean, uncluttered sound on this release. I agree that it's reminiscent of Drexciya... but that's not a bad thing!
