edit:

lol, bass solo album. That album was hilarious.

Not trying to insult your tastes. It's subjective, and that guy is ace at bass. I just thought an entire album was a bit over-the-top.

I get your point, but never got that problem with this album. I've been listening alot to it lately and find it really wonderful - and yeah, something in this track brought me to tears

This chokes me up for some reason...and I am not even nationalistic, maybe it's just the general idea behind the piece, the struggle for a people to get independence.

I worked at a summer at a Six Flags amusement park, and for a month I'd spend 2 hours every morning listening to this looped. See, the park would literally wash down all paved surfaces with giant hoses overnight, and I was tasked to literally push the puddles with a large push broom until the water was smoothly spread out to evaporate. I was assigned the front entrance area, and as a result of the Venga Boys being used in their circa 2005 promotions, the song gives me quasi-PTSD.

this one gets me each time, i think because its so true to life...

this one cause a close friend died and i think about him everytime i hear it.

and that because its a very sad piece to my ears, and the saxophone quartet that does this nail it, ive hear other versions and none is more powerful.

and the final one because i freely admit to it. i cannot watch this one, everytime i lose it. lost it as a kid, and now i still lose it as an adult.

It would be highly recommended not to watch the video. Fucking Morrissey and his goofball acting...it really ruins the music for me.

of course

someone else posted REM, awesome...this is the one that sometimes gets me real emotional but in an uplifting way:

and finally, since I listened to the S Pumpkins all the time in my emo years..the part with the "i wish i could fly" juvenile hippy lyrics.
