I keep on coming back to Saughton Mains from Vol. 1. Great drum workout starting around 3min. So good.

Free Analogue is the only track i own over 9 mins that I will listen from start to finish without getting bored. It's such a fantastic track.

didnt realise there was a volume 4. really liked a few bits of that part, lovely pady/lead synths in there.

I'm hoping someone with a bit of technical knowledge might help me out here.

One of my fav tracks "Talk To Me" goes a bit weird (distorts and then goes silent for a few seconds) at about 1:23 into the track. The silence last a few seconds, then it kind of goes back to normal. This only happens on one system (my main rig, which is actually a Mac mini, arcam DAC and old Denon AV amp). I've tried downloading other file formats, and even streaming from the bandcamp site, but, it's the same deal. However, the same track (same file even), played on other systems (headphone amp, portable music player, streaming through bandcamp to mobile device) the track plays fine. I've not noticed anything like this happen with other tracks/albums on my main rig.

Any ideas what's going on?

That's the only thing that seems plausible as my other systems play the track fine. Weird that it's just this track though. I wonder if the volume dip is causing my DAC to derp. Might switch the DAC out and see what happens.

Probably nothing wrong with your stuff, sounds like a built-in limiter responding to the waveform freaking out big time around 1:20 to 1:30.

A lot of these tracks didn't have much TLC and are pretty rough around the edges...

Ah cheers burglar! I wondered if it might be something like that...It probably is my DAC then that is gettin freaky together with the waveform? At least I get to enjoy it properly on my headphone and portable rigs. Love it!! Thanks for the tuneage!!
