Guest sirch
Colin Firth Farrell? no way! it will be toss. original is still a classic. it might have dated badly but that's what gives it a certain charm all of its own. they should just leave all these old films alone, ffs. eugene
they're not doing anything to old films, they're still 5-10 clicks away from watching. Guest RadarJammer
This kind of movie is like an extended Outer Limits episode with a budget of probably 100's of millions of dollars. I would be happy to watch an old rerun of Andy Griffith but I am furiously excited for a movie like this. Remakes are cool. I will be so thrilled I might accidently put the popcorn right into my eye instead of my mouth and then have to walk out to go to the ER. Candiru
It's gotta have the triple titted lady in it. If they don't, it won't be a true remake. Guest texan whip
Why is it in modern Hollywood movies the main actors have to have amazing bodies and cat walk model looks - particualrly the females? Top designer fashion, good looking and young, etc. Their makeup is perfect and and there is not an hair out of place on their heads - it is ridiculous and takes something away from the realness of what I am watching. I am unable to relate and submerse myself in the movie experience like I used to in the 70's and 80's because of this. This movie is no expception and it looks like it fails on so many other levels. I will not be paying to watch it but I might download it for free and give it a chance. I know it's a remake but It just seems completely shallow and lacking in all ideas. Another re-entry in todays modern, materialistic, unimaginative and photoshopped society. Especially the ones with big budgets. The public at large wants to see beautiful, done up people getting into adventures and the studios want to continue to make money. It's as simple as that. eugene
i guess people who dislike the original are really into the pkd story the films are based on ? because i can't really think of a better action/comedy/cheesecore flick. soundwave
the thing with remakes is to often redo a small film nobody knows if or a modern take on a really old film (or more recently try redo the damage done before like Spiderman or Judge Dredd) but Total Recall was the biggest film in its time with an unfolding plotline that everyone already knows so Im not sure what this film will bring other than newer special effects and a more Blade Runner style vision of the Philip K Dick concept saying that my housemates girl recently said she'd never seen or heard of it before (it was made the year she was born) so there could be enough of a market of post Matrix yoofs to warrent the cash in Im guessing a disposable mishmash of Minority Report and wannabe Blade Runner with some Underworld (same director) esque action sequences at best. I would also like a nice surprising twist to the plot but we'll have to wait and see.
