That's the W design he made when you came up with the slim W, a few months back. I like his banner too. But i don't want to get into an standoff between graphic designers.

For some reason I keep reading the 'music' in the new logo as 'mystic'. I think it's because the u connects with the t below it making it look like a y. I don't mind the new logo but it seems a little cramped.

No, it's all good - I really like positive/negative space of Jules' design, but the font seems a bit plain to me - let me try some adjustments to my version, and try some variations based on Jules' work. This is what I like about doing stuff like this - getting constructive feedback, opinions, suggestions - one of the reasons I still enjoy running this place.

I think the "are the" looks awkward because of the spacing in the E. It looks kind of like it's just a square stuck in there. Also, I agree that the font is a bit plain, and the logo isn't as good as the current one, because the current one looks more like a musical/flowing sound wave. I also have to agree that the r in "makers" on the current one; it has too much space under it. Of course, it might look a bit too bulky without that space; maybe there actually needs to be more space under the other letters.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a debbie downer, I like both logos. Just pointing out the few problems I have with them.

i'm not trolling, all the logos posted here are a bit cheesy and look a bit old imo, i think you should stick with simplicity

I like the use of the logo as the "W" - perhaps I should do a custom font and incorporate the logo like that...

It seems gimmicky to me, like highlighting "art" in "department" for "art department", or mixing words horizontally and vertically like a crossword puzzle. On top of this, it took me awhile to understand that the logo was even supposed to be the W, and I was only able to do that because I already knew that the logo is a W. The logo itself seems a little distorted, too; the top looks condensed to me for some reason.

The white stands out more than the black when put against the dark blue, making it seem like "EREHEUSICAKERS" instead of "WATMM"; WATMM should be instantly noticeable, but it isn't. I actually had to look at it for a bit to even read it. And not putting spaces in "YOURELECTRONICMUSICRESOURCE" just seems like a bad idea to me, especially when paired with the confusing title. If I didn't already know what WATMM stood for and that the tagline of the site was "Your Electronic Music Resource" it would take me ages to figure it out.

I would suggest tweaking the color palate. The font looks alright, though, but I'd still try some more things.

Sorry, I don't want to be mean, but I think your logo could definitely use some work; I want to give constructive feedback, but I guess I'm a bit harsh.
