what about being an asshole to nice people?

Happens unintentionally when they do things to be nice and you feel guilty for taking advantage of it.

It really does help if you think of yourself as the biggest asshole in the bunch. Put it into practice, expecially when people deserve it. All of this will bounce right off you.

It's like running into a resident of Pleasantville when you're having a bad day. You want them to wipe that shit eating grin off their face and recognize the shittiness of everything. More or less.

Their son is some kind of cautionary tale. And this is not only from glimpses of him I catch from my window. He needs a kind of guidance he can't get from his bizarre bulldike surrogate parents. Politically correct or not, this can't be denied.

Anyway, I think what I'm trying to get at is that if you're an asshole, get your shit sorted before you're responsible for someone. Shit, I'm a cautionary tale. And drunk, to boot.

I normally act like a weird prick talking about shit he/she doesn't know to scare him/her and make him/her feel inferior to me... Or I just ignore them...

One of the most infuriating assholes I've met was actually just a movie snob. I guess I should count myself lucky, but if I met someone like that now, I would verbally destroy them in front of everyone with exhuberance.

was close friends with a guy that could verbally assault people without even trying. always thought of the best thing instantly. The shit you think of 3 days later that would have been the perfect come back. he was amazing. BUT he did it to everyone including me. We dont speak. lol. Have to hand it to him though. Amazing talent.

Don't take it personal. We've just got troubled minds. Could be anything really. Not being able to pay the bills. Being at the point of losing your job. Walking around with this huge fart and having no place to release it.

Also, there's always an opportunity to ask what the F is going on. There's no need to generalize to useless points like "people are being assholes", or "X is an asshole" or whatever the hell you want to believe. Generalizing like that is just like being an asshole yourself. Think about it.

You missed the part where I explained that most of the time I'm not even happy. I just treat people with the common courtesy i think everyone deserves.

For the record, I don't pretend to be happy. Fake happy people bother me almost as much as assholes.

My problem is that I feel like treating everyone with the same level of respect and consideration may actually contribute to a greater prevailing sense of positivity in the universe... when in actuality, most people (at least in LA) are vapid cunts.

Although the sample size is on the small size, it wouldn't surprise me if the correlation held when conducted on a larger scale.

I like it when I'm in a good mood and people can't handle it, it seems to reinforce my invincibility and I can just go and have an angry beer after work but it's not really angry because I enjoy being angry about being happier than other people because that's actually a good thing and you can ride around on a really high horse as a result
