chatmm slows down watmm

Recommended Posts

dunno if this is actually the case but could it be?

is it merely coincidence that ever since the resurrection of chatmm, watmm is painfully slow?

things seem to run fine when there's noone in chatmm, but like now, there is 11 people there and i'm finding it reaaaalllly fuuuuckkin annoyingly slow.

seems to be the case here, too. it's taking longer to load pages, for sure.

didn't all the chatters develop a perfectly fine chat room of their very own anyway...??

must be something wrong with your computers/internet then? it's fine here

also, nope. there is an IRC chat room, but because hardly anyone knows how to access IRC, most of the regulars who were in chatmm don't show up in the IRC chat room.

nothing wrong with my computer or other websites. it's only watmm that seems slower. only by a few seconds, but still.

I'm not trying to be a cock here.

How do you know there's nothing wrong with your PC or your internets? Are you working for your ISP, and are able to perform network tests to ascertain this?

Out of 7 unique posters here, only 2 of them have issues. That leads more to suggest that there is a problem with equipment/connections at your end, rather than a problem with WATMM.

but i guess everyone's an expert on watmm...

actually it's 3 out of 7, isn't it? that's almost half, if my GCSE maths serves me right.

even 2 out of 7 should be/is a big enough percentage/concern.

also, as mentioned, every other website/PC task performs fine.

now don't get me wrong i'm no expert but this to me suggests that my internet connection is fine and my pc is functioning perfectly in every other way and that watmm is the issue.

Are you using the DNS servers that are provided by your ISP? If so, then it absolutely could be to do with your internet connection.

Virgin Media have, in recent months, had issues relating to website access - some websites were working fine, some were excruciatingly slow, some wouldn't load at all. This was entirely an issue with Virgin Media.

There is precedent for this kind of issue being the fault of the ISP.

why did you include Redruth? he said "chatmm is soggy"

This says nothing about the speed of WATMM, or indeed anything to do with WATMM. Merely stating that "chatmm is soggy". Whatever that means.

If you don't know what DNS means, then you are likely using the DNS that was provided by your ISP.

Fine here.

" Last law bearing means that any reformer or Prophet will be a subordinate of the Holy Prophet (saw) and no new Messenger and Prophet with a new religion, book or decree will come after him. Everything from him will be under the banner of Islam only."
