This little jam has been sitting in the "unfinished" folder for a good few weeks now, didnt take me long to get the structure down but just cant seem to add anything to it or make it evolve

Also this is my first post, be gentle.

i already have a thread full of raw live jams wiv mi friend in ylc, but this is the first jam we had on 23rd of January. After 10 minutes we had this ready to be recorded. this was done with my Yamaha Vl1 keyboard and Eventide Eclipse being used as a looper pedal. No real instruments or samples of any kind were used, edited 7 minutes out of a 20 minute jam.

besides the funny trombone hiccups in the beginning i really like it

Glad people liked what i posted, wasn't so much a jam but a track in a very raw state!

Rbrmyofr

really love the synth with delay on it, nice clinical atmosphere, reminds me a bit of dopplerefekt, but not too much, which is good

Rz911

this is really nice, the chords and sounds, makes me think of being on a train while its raining riding through the country side

Awepittance

those sounds are dope as hell, great chords too, love the feel of the track, its like watching a fat old man fall over in slow motion

megapussi

I really really really like this, the voice is such a nice touch (it is a voice right? saying rising or something?) really like the percussion too, has the potential to be a wicked weird club track or just a wicked weird track. what did you use?

got three raw things:

klub klassic 202=32

15 second loop, so er, best to loop this one

dead vadger & dwaftorwarded

use the same sounds but couldn't decide which chords i prefer.

came from same session as first soundcloud post

ayo funkaholic! cheers. dioxine waves is the most fun i´ve had in a long time music-wise. the drums are samples triggered in maschine and the percussion is recorded live over the rhythm track using an indian frog. the vocals were sung by me and my mate and vocoded heavily. lyrics are mono-orto pcb hpcdd moon is rising. bass comes from dark energy, pads from a plugin, melodies from nord lead 2x. made in a couple of hours during full moon rising.

Winter session, made 4 parts in a row, with same setup, sewed them together the half arsed way (I posted this already in ylc at that time)

Could almost be in the "30 minute acid" topic. I actually tried to take the challenge and do a nice fun loop in half an hour or so. But I guess it's not acid enogh.

Anyway, composed / mixed in 45/60 minutes, raw jam recording :

Gear: Yamaha Portasound, $10 phaser pedal, Behringer RV600 (reverb) pedal, Boss Loopstation.

I actually kinda love it the way it is. There are some really amazing harmonics in the synth drone. It's too rough to ever go on a release though.

http://pselodux.com/audio/pselodux/two%20deaths%20in%20canada.mp3

Gear: M-audio digital piano sequenced by Alesis MMT-8, Behringer RV600, Behringer EM600 (delay pedal, just for the tape warble effect), $10 phaser pedal.

Starts to get pretty interesting about 1/3 of the way through. Again, some interesting harmonics were introduced through the reverb/phaser's interaction with the single bass note.

http://pselodux.com/audio/pselodux/emergence%20intro.mp3

Gear: Yamaha QY70, $10 phaser pedal, Behringer RV600, Boss Loopstation.

The original jam for 'Emergence I'.

http://pselodux.com/audio/pselodux/02.mp3

Gear: Yamaha Portasound, $10 phaser pedal, Behringer RV600, Behringer EM600, Boss Loopstation, Roland TR606 (operated by a friend).

A very stoned jam. Melodic content got a bit early-Autechre at a few points during this jam. My friend (who was borrowing the 606 off another friend) kept the drum patterns very minimal though, which makes it sound pretty interesting, since there was no way to get the loop pedal to sync up with the drum machine. Would have been nice to have him bust into some Incunabula patterns though!

edit: Funny how that $10 phaser pedal gets more use than my original 70s Ibanez Phaser Tone.
