nice job noise! aqua souls is very cool, yet so simple.

if i may be critical about this ep, i would only reproach the chords lacking originality and also, different time signatures wouldn't hurt sometimes. also, i don't like the tracks on side b, but that's subjective.

oh, i love the ending of depot raiders! reminds me of the ending of virtual origami by japanese telecom.

it's a detail but i love it.

^Interestingly (or not, whatever), Aqua Souls and Depot Raiders are the only two tracks I imagine myself skipping during some of my future listens. I like them, but I'm more into tracks 1 and 4-9. Those seem to have a more consistent (??) atmosphere to them. Maybe tracks 2 and 3 are a bit too long for my taste.

Aqua Soul is gorgeous.

Kind of odd critisism if you ask me. this is not EKT y'know.

It's ok

I think noise does a great job tiptoeing along the Drexciya homage/original work dividing line. It's referential and sort of like, nostalgic and evocative without being derivative. Excessive Drexciya affection is completely forgivable, imo.

Of course with his skills I'm also wondering what an entirely original, no-holds-barred, "GOING OFF" noise EP would sound like too.

Yeah sure. I just find it odd since this is a complete work of music that's already been pressed to vinyl. if it were tracks still in progress there might be a point to giving advice to improve on them.

Someone here linked the track Ultradimension and I was sold. Heard Aqua Soul today and was sold again. Bought both digital releases. Really worth it! Too bad WeMe has such incredible shipping costs, or else I would've bought the vinyl. Bonus tracks with the digital release didn't help as well
