Oh god why do I find Maggie Gyllenhaal's voice so sexy

haha to be honest I was like "damn, who is this, ohh it's Maggie Gyllenhaal!? o_0"

maybe it's refreshingly breathy and pleasant but still feminine...nice compared to the bombardment of dumb high-pitched stupidity emitted by most females that been deemed "sexy" by corporate tv and radio

Mh... also would like to know what is okay to do and what not. For example, I love to use small snippets from US comedies like Family Guy or Southpark. Do you think I could get in trouble for that?

how small? I'd love to use tiny little snippets of vocal noises to use as melodic instruments.

law-wise(eu+usa) it's nailed anyway. there is simply no de minimis use defense to digital sampling of a recording. so even a "recognizable" glitch, could break your neck..if you heading for the big(ger) markets then clearance would be the only solution to stay on the save® side of things, imho..it's all a lot of bollocks, i know...

i wonder, how Skam handled their Mask 500 release..

sample everything all of the time.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

It was a limited vinyl to 500 pcs and that probably allowed them to use whatever they wanted because nobody's really going to be bothered about release of 500 obscure LPs, but I wonder how someone like Shitmat handles this?

Edit: Also has VHS Head cleared all his samples? Lol.

Yeah I think if it's a vinyl run like the Mask 500 release, it's a safe bet. I've heard some pretty long loops in "hit" indie tracks like this one, without any legal issue being brought up (or artistic legitimacy questioned):

With VHS Head, the samples and snippets are so short and so intricate that the act itself isn't at all lazy or unoriginal. Whereas something like this, is essentially an uncredited cover song. Which I'm not exactly against, but I think it's obvious that electronic and hip-hop artists faced more scrutiny early on than rock musicians ever did.
