Very nice find. Should I know these guys?

well, i'd say Arpanet/Dopplereffekt is following a path created by Kraftwerk. But to be honest, there are differences (more abstract, digital) and more important Arpanet/Dopplereffekt records are way better than the "recent" Kraftwerk ones (Tour de France soundtrack). I'd love it if G.Donald would go back to a "techno pop" record like on this great Japanese telecom tune:

Did you know that I'm from Detroit, and I have a few Drexciya style records sitting around that I made in 1994-1997?

I also happened to have preserved the original master tracks. I cleaned them up and made them louder so they sound like they were made in the last few years.

Furthermore, I decided to wait until 2012 to release them, just as Drexciyan influences are at some of their strongest levels ever in the amateur electronic music community. Also, just a few months after that amazing Photodementia record was "unearthed".

What, you don't believe me?

Oh, and I suppose you don't believe Hyperinteger is vintage Detroit music just because their soundcloud page says it is either :emotawesomepm9: .

P.S. I'm not passing any judgement on the music itself, since it's actually really nice(especially Shifting Seasons), just saying that I don't necessarily accept that it's from the 90's any more than I accept that Photodementia is from the 90's.

know what you're saying.. and it sounds nice enough but to me that stuff sounds mostly like someone trying really hard to rip off The Other People Place record. and kinda almost neeaaaarly succeeding, actually.
