Sooo, I kinda feel like jungle has entered a second renaissance era.

IMO, the genre hit a peak in 96, then basically went into hibernation except for a handful of producers like Tech Itch and then bubbled up a tiny bit after the breakcore era, but otherwise it’s been dominated by bland, 2-step/post-dub-step snoozers.

I’ve been religiously listening to Tim Reaper’s NTS sessions and fuck me if there isn’t a stupid amount of top quality new school jungle producers making top quality tracks with mental choppage… and it’s all highly danceable, as opposed to being cerebral wank jobs. 
 I’m too broke to collect records again but if I weren’t, I would be having a field day right now, and for all new shit instead of old school 12”s (probably for the first time since maybe Congo Natty’s early 2000s run).
