squarepusher Looking for IDM songs (vocal tracks).

The title might sound a bit dodgy but I guess it’s the one which gets straight to the point.

Alternative titles for the thread could be:

“Songs using extended braindance twiddling” or “Breakcore vocal tracks”.

By that I don’t really mean songs/remixes coming from people outside the genre using a simple glitchy break or a chill dubstep beat, although there are cases this is being done well, with some Bjork tracks coming to mind.

I am mostly interested in attempts from idm/drill ‘n bass/breakcore producers to create tracks in a more traditional song form.

One could say early examples of this could be Aphex’s “Milkman” and Squarepusher’s “My Red hot car” and “Do you know Squarepusher?” but I am mostly interested in tracks which try to follow a proper song approach rather than using a single vocal snippet and/or are not intended to be pisstakes as milkman (but a cool track nonetheless!).

Ok this isn’t coming from an IDM producer per se but it’s pretty twisted and noisy for what it is. There are some other tracks in a similar vein in his debut album, too bad he went lame afterwards.

The absolutely fantastic “Family Galaxy” by Tim Exile. This track has it all and sums up what I am looking for pretty well. Top notch production. I wish the rest of the album was as good as this.
