If a game can do it, so should we?

I'm pretty sure your question basically is this:

If we can imagine it, does that mean it is, or could become, an existent thing?

I think the answer is both yes and no. Yes, if you have a loose definition of existence. No, if you understand the hard physical laws of the universe and have a similarly hard definition of existence.

Yeah as I said earlier its basically like another way of saying anything is possible. I guess my statement is no different in validity then that though. I thought this would be some means of providing future testing to what it is we can do or perhaps test some of the limits of what can be done by applying what we know of computers and what we might find out about our universe. Its all hypothetical, much like Alan Turing's machine he used to explain the functions of a CPU. A Turing machine is not ever going to exist but it still helps explain.

!?

I'm having a hard to time make anything about your posts zigg. A Turing Machine is not much more than a conceptual way to describe how computers work. Saying they don't exist, is like saying digital numbers don't exist in a computer.

If you google "turing machine download" you'll have a number of options to download your own TM-simulator.

We aren't going to ever be able to make a machine with infinite memory capacity are we? Its presuming that if such a machine did exist that could do that as I was presuming that if we can simulate consciousness and perhaps if we discover some sort of underlying code in our Universe.

Cool didn't know they had Turing Machine Simulations. This is all still pretty new to me.
