i can't even think of 1 album that is totally shit from start to finish... there's always some good moments on everything...

apart from maybe some shitty pop-tart stuff. but then i don't buy that shit, because i'm not 13, so...........

Skinny Puppy's HanDover and ohGr's unDeveloped were both more mediocre than I could have ever imagined possible for either artist.

I realised I was over Vsnares with this album

What !

That's a bit harsh. It's not like you could have possibly been desperately anticipating that album for years and years. OH NO the 8th Aaron Funk release in 3 years, and I don't like it, I can't believe it. It wasn't to my tastes either to be fair, but its since grown on me massively. Whenever I listen to it again to see if my opinion has changed, its sheer aggression blows me away, so I turn it up loud, then I get bored a few tracks in, but for immediate amaze it's great.

It's not stylistically bad or poorly misjudged, it's still expertly composed - listen to Kimberly Clark, Pussy Skull, Deep Dicking.

Anyway, mine is Autechre - Oversteps. I think it's generally bad music. I still can't stand listening to it. Just one album killed all my enthusiasm for them. Move of Ten wasn't much better, once I got over the initial thrill of new Autechre. Hating an album and then listening to a new ep hoping it will reignite your excitement only to discover that nearly all the tracks are bored remixes/alternative versions of tracks from that album.

Bibio's Mind Bokeh was a huge disappointment, sounded like a collection of unfinished ideas with no pay-off to be found. Ambivalence Avenue was beautiful.

yeah, he should have taken a couple extra years to work on the follow up instead of rushing it

I was originally a bit let down by Shellac's Excellent Italian Greyhound (packaging and artwork aside which was brilliant as ever). After waiting for seven years I felt deflated, with songs like Steady As She Goes and Genuine Lulabelle, plus two instrumentals and the age-old Spoke as a closer. More recently though it's clicked, and the album now seems a lot stronger and flows nicely. For example, after the intense Lulabelle you need a bit of a breather with a track like Kittypants. So yeah, compared to the other three albums it did gather dust for a few years before I saw sense. Love it now though.

Sorry, tl;dr.

My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges

Mostly hokey, tongue in cheek songs and awkwardness. Z is the tits though.
