I'm very happy to announce that Jon Brook's 'Shapwick' on 12" vinyl will be available from the 25th February 2013.

Previously released as a CD in a limited edition of 110 hand printed copies it sold out within a couple of hours, and Clay Pipe were inundated with requests for the album to be made available on vinyl. The vinyl release features new artwork by Frances Castle on beautiful reverse mat board, and is limited to 500 hand numbered copies, each with a download code.

LP was supposed to be ready Feb 25th, but it's been pushed back. Date to be determined.

Great album, somewhat different style for him but killer straight through.

Discogs says it's a CDr so you can see my confusion. I'm betting it was just a CDr, but I want to make sure.

The label makes no mention of CD-Rs, and looking at the packaging, there's art printed on the CD itself. Doesn't seem like it's a CD-R.

Yeah but people print art on CDrs all the time. 110 is a little short for a real CD run, but I don't know what those pressing guys are willing to do these days. Any owners out there?

Yeah its a CDR- it is printed, but was kinda dissapointed it was a CDR when I got it. I suppose that being such a small run, on a small label was inevitable.

boomkat just sold out. Ordered mine direct through the label.

I would have ordered it yesterday but honestly not a single sample was very special. Just sorta cookie cutter library stuff.

Grabbed this from Boomkat. Quite enjoying this as an ambient album to zone out to. I find Brooks' stuff hit and miss generally but this is nice and atmospheric - the artwork compliments the music well. You can easily imagine yourself wandering around a mysterious, magical, unfamiliar place at night - without the usual cliched 'dark ambient' aspects that this might usually suggest.

I really love the piano stuff on this. Piano sounds great recorded to tape.

Was on the brink of getting a copy with the new sleeve but I think I've spent enough on this release now.
