@Chen, yeah, Taiwan is pretty fast, and helpful. I was annoyed that they wouldn't let me bring my skateboard as a carry on, but they were very helpful in escorting me out to get in checked then back up to the front of the line. Super fast scan-in immigration entry system for Taiwan citizens and alien residents, too.

 

LOL we have self-scan for canadian citizens in Vancouver, then after you do the self-scan, you still have to show the passport and receipt to an immigration officer.

 

Haha, yeah they're doing that in LA now, too. It didn't even make sense. I think you can sign up for some thing where you don't have to though, like you just go through, but considering it's the good ol' US of A, I'm sure there's a catch.
