I received my copy of the vinyl only "Summer Nights Versions" release today, but I'm having an unexpected problem with it.

Could someone who's received theirs please contact me to sort it out?

Thanks.

What sort of problem?

Brilliant album. Like it more than the Hash-bar Loops. Top of album of 2012 for sure.

Anyone else who got the shipping notification from Wow HD actually receive their copy yet? This is laughable!

Fell asleep listening to this last night, had some nice dreams, re-listening to it more awake today, this is great.

CD was in the mail today. It's... different, in places it's summery indeed. Not quite the love at first sight of the Slam remixes, but there's a lot more going on throughout the album, should keep me interested for a while.

Got the CD today. No wonder it took forever to arrive. First the CDs needed to get shipped from the EU to Hong Kong and then shipped back to the EU.

Same here. Ironically it arrived the same day as the picture disc 12" from Soma. So it was a Modell holiday yesterday.

Hardly my first thoughts, but after just three listens I'm already starting to come around from good to great.

Man, I don't know what my exception is then, but from pressing play I was totally in love with this. It's hard to deny the masterful way Modell has with texture and atmosphere, and Sommer unveils itself at just the right pace. This will be a record that gets a whole lot of mileage for me.

Essentially, I agree with everything you are saying. Think I'm used to being dropped right into a thick, dense atmosphere with Deepchord whereas this is a true album which takes its time to unfold and never really gets in your face. Even the typical static-y noised-out ending feels almost subdued. Comparing 'Sommer' to 'The Coldest Season', the titles cover rather well what's going on musically.

Now that I've ripped this and am playing the files in my car regularly I've noticed the large proportion of gay-ass track names on the album. Thankfully listening to one of the principal offenders, "Spring Mist", feels like a young Ingrid Bergman is giving my brain a handjob. Utterly un-gay.
