There was a little time frame I got really interested into Vainio, Hausswolff and Elggren. But since Hausswolff and Vainio keep their material more and more minimal it's really some kind of boring book you put on the shelf again after two pages.

Well, the only exception I would make is Vainios Collab with Noto years back and the splits he has done with Kouhei.

enjoying this quite a bit. i wish some of the tracks weren't so disjointed, but there are some wonderful moments throughout the album. makes me wish for new pan sonic though

watmmers are down on Mika Vainio now? This distresses me; his stuff is tops. This record is on my list for sure.

i haven't heard this one yet, but i've enjoyed almost all his records with the exception of that japanese release with field recordings from a hospital.

That "hospital" record (released in japan but recorded in germany) was not made of field recordings, its more quiet than the usual Vainio music but i like it a lot.

I found his recent material to be somewhat boring, including this one.

Yes.

But it was a kinda gash experimental thing that certainly didn't add up to the sum of the parts...
