Gareth Emery really has done very well. He was the year above me at uni, Dj'd at the students union trance night. Fair play.

John Digweed not only DJs but produces, runs a very successful record label, his weekly radio show is syndicated worldwide and is just generally a legend without the shit EDM ego and marketing team. He is a middle aged geek from Hastings who lets quality house music do the talking. And most people outside of the core scene would not know who he is.
