I want Andy Stott to do a DnB album.

His two previous eps were excellent but this is a massive let down. Most overrated album of the year.

you have to really try to let it sink in. i thought the same thing at first.

amen is out of place to me, would have liked him to slice up some 'world music' (lol) break instead, would fit in better with the rest of his sound imo

yeah the amen is a little weird. he should have super deconstructed it.

Overall I think this is a great follow up to the EPs considering how impeccable they were. Loving sleepless and the title track especially. Up The Box fits way better in the context of that boiler room mix (where it feels more like a freeform workout); being on the album demystifies it a bit.

Hmmm. I really dig this and am surprised to see anyone disappointed by it.

Let down by dumb expectations and hype. And now calling it let down of the year because of their own dumb expectations.

This and the title track are by far my favorites. Hatch the plan is the only track I'm not all that into, it's not bad actually, only it feels a little too delicate after the pummeling by it's predecessor.

why aren't the bonus tracks from passed by me / we stay together 2CD set available on vinyl. like, a little ep with the four tracks. (/fwp).
