Back in the day, maybe 2000-01, I was the omelette cook for Sunday brunch at the Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables. One time I was allowed to play "chill" music through the pa during brunch so I played a few boc cds. They got complaints from elderly people that the music was "melancholy" & "depressing" and they took it off. It was great up until then.

A few days later the whole setup had been disabled never to return. I never found out if this song was responsible or not.

Had a similar thing happen in a rockers' pub in Nottingham we'd frequent. I think we sunk it with Venetian Snares gabba, Shellac and Mr. Bungle though.

Also, I remember playing Aphex's Run The Place Red at a party once. My friends didn't care (most like aphex) but everyone else said WTF is this shit

Reminds me of the night my buddy had to work the closing shift at a local Pizza Hut, I went in to say Hi I noticed they had a jukebox and the songs were 2 for $1, I put a $10 in and selected every song to be "Who Let The Dogs Out?" ... saw him the next day first thing he says is "if anyone even mentions the word dog I may flip out"
