So I've always sorta avoided this area, save for Giorgio Moroder (because who doesn't love The Chase).

But I found a few others that I think are absolutely amazing, and asked some bmore friends for recs, and they link me to basically shitty modern italo-trance...im looking for more of the old school discoteque stuff.

dare I ask...has anybody ever put together a spotify Italo Disco playlist? I see there are a few from a general search in spotify, but I'd trust a fellow WATMM'er more so

I recommend listening to https://intergalactic.fm/# , mainly the second channel (Intergalactic Classix). These guys know their shit. It's the homebase of Legowelt, I-F, Rude 66, etc. I have discovered so, so much good Italo through this station.

There is an EDMX podcast that focuses on italo disco which is well worth a listen, cant remember which number it is though.
