the single good thing about Los Angeles is the smog seems to have killed most of the mosquitoes

good point - you could hook a hosepipe up to your car's exhaust and run it in through the window whilst you sleep. hopefully, your homemade "smog" will keep them at bay.

the only option is burn down your house (or just your room if you can control the fire)

Build a replica of your room inside your room and then sleep in the replica, when the mosquitos go in to drink your blood, run out of the replica room and seal it off. Next, burn the original room and raise the mosquitos inside of the replica room to be your children who bring you the blood of innocent children.

bug killing spray for the aggressive ones that are hard to catch, one spray is enough, be careful about the chemical and the smell it leaves behind

not sure what it's called but there's this chinese smelly stuff that i buy and rub on my arms and legs then it feels better after using it and the bugs hate the smell of it

also you could cut down on sugary foods/beer because they seem to be attracted to people with a lot of sugar in the blood? (aint a biologist, someone might correct this one :-)
