There wasn't much to explain, really. It's similar to yesterday's proceedings.

Madrid have never been much of a threat. Their lone goal was gifted via a howler in Dortmund's defense.

Lewandowski played out of his skin and converted nearly every opportunity that came his way. He could have 5 goals in this game. It's quite insane. lol.

I don't care if FCB shits the bed. I want a German final, would be amazing. Seeing both Götze and Lewandowski playing against their future club in the final would be interesting.

word on the street is that Lewandowski to Bayern is no more...

total demolition tonight. could have and perhaps should have been 5-0, as there was a clear penalty on Reus immediately before the Real breakaway to score their lone goal. Dortmund did everything they needed to. Unfortunately at 4-1 the tie definitely isn't over, but they are looking good.

as deserving as both of German teams would be to make it to the final, single-nation finals are dull because it isn't European competition any more. the teams know each other too well tactically. Chelsea and United in Moscow was hardly a classic.

one thing i've noticed living here (Germany) is that there's so much more solidarity with domestic rivals when they're competing in Europe. in England, all we ever want is for our rivals to embarrass themselves so we can laugh at them.

mind, i didn't watch the game this evening with any Schalke fans, so they may not have been so sympathetic.

Wonderful two days of football, two cuntclubs schooled by classy clubs. Lewandowski please dont leave.

I would love to see Dortmund win the CL before rich clubs destroy this team.

Jurgen Klopp i love you!

this is absolutely true. when our clubs go to europe, there is just germany, rivalry doesn't matter the slightest.

i for example don't like neither dortmund nor bayern that much, mainly because bayern makes the bundesliga boring and klopp's an absolute dickhead (he doesn't show his true face very often, but when he does...), but when these clubs go for europe, i support them as much as i'm able to.

yeah, it wasn't really that bad. but klopp had this surgery, and he confirmed it immediately. which was a wise step i think...because now that it's official nobody really cares in germany.

this is how he looked like 12 years ago:

are you still living in germany?

germany is such a fantastic country. I really hope to live there at some point soon

The organization and running of football in Germany is outstanding. It definitely puts the PL to shame.

Am I right in thinking that it costs about a quarter of what it does in England to buy a ticket for a league game ?

31€?

this is really really high for 2. bundesliga.

at fc augsburg (1.bundesliga) you pay 28€ (seat). when they were in the second league, i used to pay ~14-20€ for seat and 6-12€ for standing..

also ron, you shouldn't buy seat, but standing! you would pay less and you would have more fun ;)

Yeah, I read somewhere that the German Football Association re-organized and cleared up a lot of things all from junior training to the big league and they are now reaping the benefits with a strong national league and a very good national team.

Yeah, and the man behind this reformation was Mathias Sammer, who is a Dortmund legend, but currently works technical director at Bayern (ass-raping Dortmund on the transfer market). There is a lot to admire in Bundesliga, namely Abramovich, Glazers and Mansour alikes not being possible.

well that was definitely the intention, but it's Köln, so it proved impossible, given how big their support is and the fact that they are still (just) in the race for promotion. tried for the last couple of months to get standing since i've never experienced it (illegal in the UK as you probably know). alas, will have to settle for a seat on Sunday.
