I'm I the only one who has a hard time getting past the sloppy production and excessive use of distortion in u-ziq albums? Maybe it's deliberate, but with good headphones on, the distortion is like a smack in the face (I hope it's deliberate and not an oversighte).

Still, nobody does melodies like Mike.

So...mostly everything. Wasn't a huge fan of Brace Yourself or Groovy Beat for some reason. Royal Astronomy was OK for me.

second.. bilious. nice and aggressive most of it.

I have always found Bilious Paths nearly too grating to really get into. The shattered glass on the cover is an apt sonic metaphor. Maybe someday.

I find it helps to wear a thick wool toque over your head (and ears) during Bilous Paths.

I think overall Mike P's 'breakcore' era saw his weakest output by far; Bantha Trx Vol 2, Bilious Paths, Motorbike Track etc...

I haven't got very far into u-ziq so far, but Hasty Boom Alert is probably the best I've heard so far, drum programming is very good, a kind of cross between AFX and □pusher.
