posh beers and ales and stuff thread

The monks brew is absolutely stunning (sometimes called Monk's elixir too, I've had several bottles of each and they're identical).

Let me know how the George stout is!

Easy night in tonight, not feeling so great. Two porters plus two relatively strong ales (nothing like those bloody Belgian beers spiral is drinking), asking for a hangover on top of this lingering cold. Oh well, 2015, YOLO.

Noice!

Heh, ended up only drinking the Zodiac IPA then we both switched to wine.

Looks like it's gonna be a boozy new years day!

i've always been a big fan of Chimay, and i recently found this in my local bottle king, the Chimay Doree, which is usually reserved for the monks themselves and visitors to the abbey and local inn:

My No. 1 beer of all time, i stumbled upon Joker about a year ago and had to accept the fact i'd spent years in the wilderness drinking tasteless pisswater. It's a taste sensation and you need to get this beer.

Isnt that 7%? Cripes............not supped any booze for ages

Although you'd usually find this in CAMRA supporting pubs, it is nectar of the most delicious kind (considering the high alcohol content):

ergh... I just took inventory of all the beer I have . I guess I'm set for awhile... I didn't realize I was hoarding this much.

The ones in orange are in the fridge, we're going to work on them today.

Anyone else have a hoarding problem with beer or wine?

Anyone wanna come over and help me with these? haha

I've never tried this. It's on my radar now though, looking to see if I can order it from zyn.

Anyone here tried Ballast Point's Sculpin or Grapefruit Sculpin? They're my current favorite brews.

Yeah, the standard Sculpin is my general go-to IPA now. Grapefruit one is very good too, nice for summer days especially.

Perlenbacher can 500ml from Lidl. 75p a can. Mass produced lager that tastes as insipid and ordinary as you would expect though perfect for sitting off in a session.

Had a gorgeous farmhouse ipa from Breakside yesterday. Can't wait to go to Portland and drink a metric shit ton of great beers.
