Autechre idea for a remix/edit

has anyone ever remixed Cavityjob? I was listening to it today from my eps set and thought that although it sounds dated, it's also pretty fun. It could use an update, not in a weird Autechre way, but in a more dancy way.Thought about giving it a shot, but maybe someone already did it? anyone know?

Why not making an edit? I love the way Minimal Wave Tapes updates music from the 80ties with edits made by other musicians. Would be cool to have a classic edit with some sparse new sound trickery.

Please do it! Cavityjob is classy stuff, maybe you can restore the cuts they do to the tracks for the re-issue ;)

What do you mean by this?

ohh sorry I forget, Warp omitted the original intros from the tracks. They are not full-lenght on the CDs.

Hmm, I sadly do not know- but as far as one discogs stated it was edited for some kopyright reasons. Well, when you think to do an edit, you can maybe "restore" the intros in your own sense ;)

Yes, pretty mad from Warp to mess it up- there are some more critical point about the boxset, but well, better than nothing.

Nah they are pretty lame... some snippets of dialogue and drill noises from a movie (that they apparently didn't have sample clearance for). This notwithstanding, you might be able to mangle them into something interesting to dab over a remix... vinyl rips of the original arent too hard to find on the internets.
