I use the Pioneer CDJ's that are in our local club. I put the tracks I'm gonna play on a USB and just roll. I use rekordbox to have them analyzed so when I plug the USB in, I know what BPM the tracks are. I mostly play ambient/IDM. I've been DJ'ing since 3-4 months ago so I'm a beginner but I've been hearing that I play good from people who listen to me, especially selection wise.

So I just bought a "Moody Sounds" Baby Box 3.1 for making noise/echo/delay/fuzz and general mucking up of sounds.

Last night I hooked it up to my vinyl DJ setup and got some interesting results - will definitely be experimenting lots with this beast and I think the fact i'm using vinyl means that the noise elements retain a real warmth / depth,.

I'm going to record a hard techno DJ mix with a "live" noise element to it - will stick the results up here when I've finished.

Might try and integrate another "guitar" pedal into the DJ setup - they work well and obviously allow you to control elements whilst keeping your hands free for other stuff (especially as im still on old school vinyl)
