I haven't got a clue. I have almost everything I want, so I am happy no matter what the size is. If I won the lottery tmrw I think I would only need to buy maybe 40 records to complete it, and most of those be vinyl duplicates of Auctechre and BoC cd's and a handful mint original Black Sabbaths, Jimi Hendrix, King Crimson on vinyl.

I only came into this thread to tell people that the plural of vinyl is in fact, vinyl, as this is the sole reason for my existence on wattem now. Too late, three pricks had already written vinyls. You sound special educational needs when you say vinyls. I bet you say it with a lisp too. Prick(s).

I did notice that myself but to be honest, I've been too much of a cunt in other threads today to make an issue out of it. but jesus fucking christ.

Just under 150GB digital

Around 400 cds, all of which included in digital

Around 600 vinyl - About 100 are jazz that I haven't yet listened to but i'm making my way through it.

:doge: Jet fuel can't melt dank memes :doge:

+- 250 GB digital with almost no FLAC's. 30 albums of those are bought legally

361 physical CD's

+- 90 vinyl (+- 20 of which I've just got from my dad or dad in law so I'm not really counting those)

10 (!!!) official cassettes

Too bad I can't afford to buy many records these days, but when I do I give priority to vinyl lately. My brother does have around 1200 vinyl most of which is oldschool house, techno, gabber, acid, etc. and I regularly borrow his stuff as well, so I'm not short on anything.

the need to hoard music on own hdd is diminishing, i don't remember having any trouble of reacquiring something i lost/temporarily forgot about. every piece of music i ever liked is available on torrents, soulseek or plain file hosting sites. basically i only need a list of the stuff i like so nothing gets forgotten, actually getting music is not a problem anymore.

Ermm dunno really.

Somewhere in the region of 400 x 12" vinyls, 100 x 7" vinyls plus a box of 78's I have inherited but not gone through yet. My decks can cope with 78 speed and I have some old needles so I will probably give them a go at some point.

Probably about 400 CD albums and 200 CD singles.

60gb of music + 40 CDs full of MP3s.

around 3,000 vinyl and 3tb of digital ie more than i'll ever be able to listen to so what's the point

i do wonder if it would be more fun to just own 1 record, listen to it obsessively for weeks or months, build a real relationship with it, then sell it on and buy another, start again

i don't think i'd be brave enough though

About 400+ CDs (after getting rid of hundreds to used records stores and such over the years), probably 100 slabs of vinyl, 100 or so cassette tapes here and there, and about 20gb on the iMac. Only just started purchasing mp3's in earnest about a year ago. Haven't converted most of the CDs to mp3 yet in fear that I'll burn out the disc drive on this 5 year old computer.

yeah I really need to rip all my CDs but fuck that. I'm gonna hire someone to do it for me.

otherwise I currently have 2.5mb of music. in .ra format.

Over 1000 vinyl, with 200 odd minidiscs recorded from said vinyl, 90 or so CDs and have started to copy my cassettes onto mp3. Old mixtapes that I havent heard for years that I still wanna keep.

I really wanted to say vinyls, it makes me lol sounds like something Keith Lemon would say. http://www.thehumorblog.com/keith-lemon-quotes-celebrity-juice/2832/
