I wouldn't say it has the aesthetic appeal of Machine but I can imagine this would be perfect for a live set using Ableton.

I wonder what the street price will be ... after seeing it action I'm almost sold.

I'm not sure how well it will interface with third party vsts though, if it's well done this is a must have. If it isn't I'll probably end up buying one anyway.

These are all very foreign to me in terms of operation and workflow. Is the Push controller also closer to the monome series in terms of a live instrument, more so than say the Akai APD?

not until you find one with decent music coming out of these. Can't believe that beat.

Sold on version 9 already... not sure I'll go for push though.

all of this is pretty exciting for, really. first ableton live 9 seems pretty great. no matter how hard I try to resist, I know that I'll have this Push hardware sooner or later...

I think aesthetically it looks great. Although those low contrast buttons will be impossible to read in bad light.

The estimated price is EUR 499, but that's only with Live Intro included. With Standard it's EUR 778, and with Suite it's EUR 998.

For you American folk, that's $645, $1006, and $1290 respectively.

At that price, it better include a full body massage with a happy ending. Ableton is so fucking expensive.

Also, it's...kinda ugly. Not really that it's atrocious design, but just not helpful or intuitive. None of the buttons seem to have any significant visual or tactile uniqueness that would help denote their function aside from small, lighted words on them. And the whole damn thing's black. I feel like this will be awful in a venue or even just fucking around at home after a couple drinks.

agreed. this push + live 9 combo seems promising !

I really can't wait for this...

surely someone will make a program that allows the ole launchpad to opperate in a similar manner - or at least, will re-map it to do some of the Push's sequencing functions etc.

I never thought the day would come when I'd seriously consider migrating from Buzz - that Push demo video has definitely made me re-evaluate things (and my bank balance)

Yeah I think this is where I will end up next in a year or so after a couple more analog synths and experimenting with more simplistic search of the kind of music I want to make. This is the first piece of hardware for the computer/digital that looks like a lot of fun and you dont have to look at the screen to do anything. So much money tho
