Peter Kuhlman aka Pete Namlook passed away

bummer, his release with Jonah Sharp - Alien Community was a big inspiration for my musical philosophy. At the point i heard it (maybe 1998) i thought techno music was adequate at normal song length like 5-10 minutes. The tracks on Alien community are continuous dub/techno tracks that last for an entire hour each. At the time i was pretty baffled by the concept, like it was against the rules to make an rhythmic electronic track that lasted that long. very awesome.

What a shocker, I just got into Air I+II a few weeks back and downloaded some more of his projects. I've known him for years but only recently decided to give his music a proper go. And now this.
