i'd been following his story but this blog is a great find and gooooooood reading.

Amazing. This story just doesn't let up.

if a rip of the wired "last stand" book were to surface i'd sure find it interesting but that would be illegal and against the rules so never mind forget i even suggested it.

He plays the bluelight thread off as a prank/bet here. What a strange character.

McAfee is basically the best story ever, and I'm sure McAfee knows it.

So what do we think is real and what do we think is fiction?

I've tried to take in all the perspectives but it's hard to keep up

Oh man, he's too good of a writer for it to be much less than 60% bullshit, with enough indistinguishable bouillon cubes of truth to make it work. What's really criminal is that dude isn't writing screenplays.

I honestly can't tell if he's guilty and just a good story-teller or he's (mostly) telling the truth and the government is actually as corrupt as he claims.

So for those of you that didn't know, the reason he actually got apprehended was that Vice posted a cell phone photo of him with the GPS location left untouched in the metadata. OOPS
