My parents throw on Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas Album every year. I loved listening to it as a kid, lot of nostalgia attached to that one and the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown album.

The opening track is synth-heavy:

My favourite Christmas song. It's just so weird.

It's such a godawful song...and I love every fucking second of it!

Completely agree with both of you! My favorite Radio-Christmas song as well. I honestly had no idea it was Paul McCartney.

I think I've doubled my Christmas collection thanks to this thread.

Not strictly Christmas, but I've always had it in my mix because of the Jingle Bells.

I have tripled my collection thanks to this thread.

Ghostly International released a Christmas compilation through their DRIP.FM subscription service last year (or the year before).

Might be worth hunting down.

Rude. Go get a seasonal retail job and see if your Christmas glee remains untarnished. FWIW when I had such a gig, my favorite thing to listen to was the brothomStates 3/03/2000 Radiomafia set with Crankshaft.

All I can think of are our own WATMM Christmas albums, the 4 albums on V/vm Test Records, and tons of chiptune. Like any human being with a heart, I do enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit, but I really hate how cheesey the majority of Christmas music is.

Even this new album, with an appearance by Eleanor Friedberger (Who I adore) and a couple of other alternative bands is terribly cheesey.

tl;dr. Post good Christmas music. It doesn't even need to be Electronic, just good. I don't think anything is going to top Hell Interface though.

YES. thanks you
