So keyboard demos & film soundtracks + woodblocks + crackle = Burial ?

Don't tell it loud like that, Skrillex might hear...

Truant/Rough Sleeper was released less than a month before the birth of my first daughter. So it's for always mentally connected with the first confusing and exhausting months with a baby, and I played it every day when I was walking endlessly around with the baby stroller, trying to get that little screaming creature to sleep.  It was a "different" release. Not as good as Kindered, also from 2012, but still. Two long, fragmented and almost dreamy tracks. What would be Burials next move, I thought. Little did I know that his plan was to release one or two tracks a year, one more shitty than the other. I mean even a fucking collab with that talentless prick, Zomby.

My daughter is now six. She's starting school in a few months. The last good Burial-release is from bedfore she was born. That's like...like a childhood without good Burial. I guess what I'm trying to say is... You suck, Bill Bevan. You suck.

Here's an unpopular opinion - Rough Sleeper is the best piece of music he's ever done. I think 4:00 to 9:30 in particular is brilliant. Please note this is opinion and not fact!

I do wish he'd put out at least one more proper album, but it would absolutely get held up against his first two so it doesn't really stand a chance. I will say I agree with the comment above on Rodent, I wish he'd never even put it out. Not opinion here - it's objectively bad.

I'm a big fan, but I understand the critiques.

I am the only one that loved rodent? Didn't get it at first but it grew on me and really like it

But then again I love rival dealer and think this is one of the best things he has done..

Some of his other recent stuff hasn't quite hit the mark for me but he still has it!

Not a big Burial fan but I did pick up the Truant 12" because I was a bit smitten with Rough Sleeper, def see the appeal

Interesting bump, I was trying to find the thread about Burials 2011 -2019  compilation but couldn’t find one (I think there is just a miscellaneous rolling thread somewhere)

i recalled this being the last active burial thread so went with it. remix is - ok. far from bad but far from interesting.
