Well obviously the WATMM Christmas comps are up there:

In terms of what songs I like, I tend to prefer the nice harmonies of the grand religion carols, like "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing". As a rule of thumb, if there's a descant, I probably like it. Despite being a part-time militant atheist, I really like the beauty of classical 4/5 part harmony. For example, this video starting at 2:52

I know this goes against the intent of this thread but I just need to tell you all how much I hate Santa Baby (I hate Santa Baby quite a bit).

It's a filthy novelty tune but the chorus is very catchy too.

posted another but just watch the above, I forgot how good it is

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

absolutely this. Only thing I would consider posting. Basically the song that started my way into IDM. shit is fucking awesome.

Some one should post that Milieu Christmas track that samples it? Also pretty fucking sick.

I'd say all of Milieu's Christmas EP's rule some one post them. I'm looking at you Milieu.

I used to hate that song, especially compared to Lennon's xmas song - but not really, I just learned it's better to embrace things you find utterly terrible. It's so silly, absurd, and every arguably godawful moment of it is brilliant. I love it. I play it over and over again during the holidays.

This the Milieu song you mentioned? It's awesome, this is exactly why I love watmm.

lol, yes.

Christmas and Paul's granny music are made for each other.

Lennon's Xmas song is actually good, but Paul's is every schlocky Xmas sentiment bound up into a gooey melted candycane mess, and it's just so god damned honest about it.

I rag on Paul a bit but he's pretty much the Christmas Fucking Spirit personified.

And it's all better than that Greg Lake track anyway.

can't believe i never heard the full instruemtnal one til 2006 but its one of my favs now

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.
