i just watched it for the first time today. what a trippy / weird show... love it!

Slightly off topic... I've been watching some Regular Show lately, and I still don't know what I think about it. My main problem with it is that I don't like the two main characters. The bird's voice is fucking awful. All the secondary characters are great though.

I love both Adventure Time and Regular Show [and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack]

Though I hate it when they're dubbed [Dutch voice actors suck]

Adventure time isn't very random imo. It's a very well thought out show with a very distinct approach to story telling in an animated show. The creaters go to great lengths to add a degree of reality to the show, to make the characters act as if they are real people with their own intricate lives. Also, the frequent references to dungeons and dragons, the relics of past humanity in the setting, and the inventive use of slang make for a very interesting fantasy world.

Best show on tv, imo.

They get away with so many adult references its amazing. Like the nude female painting in Finn and Jakes home that is torn in two. Very clever show.

Episodes are hit or miss in general, but I do love it when it's in top-form. I think sometimes Mordecai and Rigby are likable in certain episodes - the one where Rigby's brother Don shows up for example. Otherwise it's just two 20-something slackers who happen to be a bluejay and racoon. I like Mordecai's voice because he sounds exactly like my uncle, I'm sure to many it can get tiring to listen to. And you're right, characters like Pops and Skips are great. One of the best (and actually somewhat emotional) episodes ever was one centering on Muscleman.

this show is all showy. it shows me stuff. i like the things that it shows me. i see those things. they are things that i like.

it is luke-nip. it's the opposite of luke-repellant.
