I'm having an orphan christmas with a couple of friends as opposed to flying interstate to visit the family. It's gonna be great--nice beers, a big cookoff, some greens and prog/post-punk/idm/metal record listening.

Well I finally did some Christmas shopping and feel a bit more festive now. Just eaten loads of chocolates and got really pissed last night. Thats what its all about, right?

i'm starting to get mopey now. i'm thinking about doing crazy things like dropping cookies off on my ex's doorstep and watching love actually and sobbing. i guess i'll just get drunk on eggnog with spiced rum in it and my dad always cooks really amazing salmon so there's that.

Word. Although Christmas is still celebrated, New Year's was a bigger deal when I lived in Japan.

I can't be arsed to willingly listen to X-mas carols anymore, not like I did as a kid anyway.
